Optimism is the most important quality you can develop for personal and professional success and happiness.
I come across people all the time that don’t realize that success lies in their own hands and doesn’t always have much to do with the situations the life brings our way. Every day we face unwanted experiences and less than desired challenges and it’s up to us to decide how we are going to view and react to the current problem or situation at hand. I’ve come to learn that many times we are able to turn what seems like a negative experience into a positive blessing with just our outlook and the actions we take from that point forward. Being an optimistic person and remaining open to the connections, opportunities and good things around us creates a special window of opportunity that only people with the right mindset are able to see and take advantage of. Below are four and a half tips that I want to share with you today to help you create a more optimistic environment around you and get on the path to success and happiness!
41/2 Special behaviors learned through practice and repetition by optimists:
- LOOK FOR THE GOOD IN EVERY SITUATION : It’s always there if you keep looking
- SEEK THE VALUABLE LESSON IN EVERY SETBACK: Difficulties come not to obstruct but to instruct
- LOOK FOR SOLUTIONS TO EVERY PROBLEM: No complaining or blaming – create action
- THINK AND TALK CONTINUALLY ABOUT GOALS: Focus on your wants & how to get them
1/2 LIGHTEN UP – NO DRAMA – LOOK FOR HUMOR
Most of our emotions, positive or negative, are determined by how we talk to ourselves on a minute-to-minute basis.
